Muhammad ibn Ismail al-Bukhari was born in the city of Bukhara and raised in a scholarly household, memorizing thousands of hadiths from a young age. He traveled extensively across the Hijaz, Iraq, the Levant, and Egypt, gathering narrations and rigorously verifying their chains of transmission.
Al-Bukhari was known for his extreme rigor in verifying hadith authenticity, never including a hadith in his book until he confirmed the integrity of every narrator in its chain.
