Prophet Yahya (John, peace be upon him) was born as an answer to the prayer of his father, Prophet Zakariya (peace be upon him). This child was wonderful news that filled his righteous parents with joy after a long wait and beautiful patience.

Allah honored Yahya with a great blessing, giving him wisdom and understanding while he was still a young boy. He understood matters of faith and life with a mature mind before he had even grown up, a special favor from Allah not given to many people.

Yahya had a merciful, caring heart toward people. He was never arrogant and never harmed anyone, and he loved helping the weak and those in need, staying far from pride despite Allah granting him this high status from such a young age.

Yahya was deeply devoted to his parents, obeying and respecting them and always seeking to bring joy to their hearts. He was never disrespectful or arrogant toward them, despite all the favor Allah had given him.

Yahya was also known for his strong attachment to worshipping and remembering Allah, and his eagerness to obey Him in every small and big matter, making him a wonderful role model for his peers in good character and piety from a very young age.

The story of Prophet Yahya teaches children that righteousness is not tied to age, and that a child can be a role model in good character, kindness to parents, and piety from a young age, if they truly wish to be.
