In a caravan crossing the vast desert was a young camel named Amjad, taking his first long journey alongside his father, under a scorching sun and along a very long road.

Halfway through the trip, Amjad felt utterly exhausted and wanted to stop and give up. He said to his father, 'The road is so long, Father. I don't think I can go on.'

His father looked at him tenderly and said, 'My son, every step you take brings you closer to the green oasis we're heading toward. Don't look at the whole distance — just look at the next step.'

Amjad took a deep breath and began walking, step by step, remembering his father's words whenever he felt tired, without stopping or complaining too much.

After many long hours of perseverance, a beautiful green oasis appeared on the horizon, full of fresh water and shady palm trees. Amjad was overjoyed, drinking and resting happily in the shade.

From that journey on, Amjad understood that patience, step by step, however long and hard the road may seem, always leads us to our goal in the end.

The Lesson: Patience and perseverance, step by step, lead us to our goals no matter how long the road.
