On a quiet summer evening, grandfather Sami took his little grandson Adnan for a ride on the lake near their home. The moon was full, reflecting on the water's surface like a silver mirror.
Adnan sat at the front of the small wooden boat, watching his grandfather row calmly. “Grandpa,” he asked, “could we touch the moon if we reached out our hands?” His grandfather laughed gently and said, “No, little one, but we can enjoy its beauty from here.”
The boat paused in the middle of the lake, and a lovely silence settled in, broken only by the soft sound of water. Grandfather pointed at the stars' reflection on the water, which seemed to swim alongside the tiny fish.
Grandfather and grandson slowly returned to shore, Adnan yawning gently, wrapped in his small blanket. His grandmother carried him to bed, still smiling, dreaming of a moon swimming over a calm lake.
