«Pet animals» are animals that people are used to raising and caring for at home or on a farm, like: cats, dogs, rabbits, and chickens. These animals depend on humans for food and shelter, and they are usually calm and playful.
«Wild animals», on the other hand, live freely in nature without human care, like: lions, elephants, tigers, and wolves. These animals find their own food and build their own homes, and some can be dangerous if a person gets too close.
It is important to treat each kind with the right care: we gently look after pets, and we watch wild animals from a safe distance at a zoo or in nature without approaching them.
